Where Vollna falls short

Application tracking is manual: you have to mark jobs “Applied” yourself, and one G2 review noted it “doesn’t save your projects when you link to the freelance website.”

I got an Upwork filter which was working great, and suddenly stopped working.” Worth reading with that 2022 context in mind rather than as a current-state assessment.

One reviewer described an account termination they viewed as unfair; Vollna’s response attributed it to a payment-processor error and issued a refund. The auto-bidding tier also carries the same category of account-automation risk as any tool that acts on your behalf, though Vollna structures it around an assigned human “Business Manager” rather than a pure bot, which is a materially different risk profile than fully automated bidding.
Is your Upwork account at risk?
Vollna's core workflow (filtering, alerts, proposal drafting, analytics) doesn't require your Upwork credentials and doesn't act on your account, which is a meaningfully lower-risk design than tools built around login automation. The optional auto-bidding tiers are the exception: they submit bids on jobs, which puts them in the same general category as any automation acting on your behalf under Upwork's “Use bots and other automation properly” policy, even though Vollna routes it through an assigned human rather than a script. Its free Profile Review is itself honest about its limits: Vollna states it “cannot promise a fixed ranking jump,” and it's capped at one free run a month, which makes it a lightweight check-in rather than a full audit.
